Michael’s Story
Michael is admitted to practice in all North Carolina state courts and in the United States District Court for the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina as well as the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. His vast trial experience includes taking close to 75 cases to jury verdicts across the state. But he never really intended to be a lawyer.
His professional journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University in 1984. He then toiled away in the world of Information Technology for almost a decade before deciding to make a change. While continuing to work full time, he began attending law school at Widener University School of Law. Following graduation from law school, Michael and Nancy, his wife of nearly 30 years, moved their family of four to Charlotte to continue the journey. After increasing their family by one, and staying in IT long enough to save the world from the infamous Y2K bug, Michael began practicing law in 2000.
Away from the office, Michael and Nancy enjoy spending time with their grown children and two dogs. They are also active parishioners of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church.
